TZP Capital Partners Raises $565 Million For Third Private Equity Fund

New York, NY — TZP Group, LLC today announced the closing of TZP Capital Partners III, L.P., a private equity fund with $565 million in capital commitments. The fundraise exceeded its initial $450 million target and closed in less than three months. Limited partners include both returning investors from prior TZP funds and new institutional backers, including sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, endowments, funds of funds, and family offices.

Like its predecessor, TZP III targets control investments in business and consumer services companies generating more than $10 million in EBITDA. The firm seeks businesses with established profitability and durable competitive advantages, positioning itself as a "partner of choice" for business owners and management teams. All twenty-one portfolio companies across TZP's funds resulted from such partnerships, where the selection of TZP was a determining factor.

The firm focuses on verticals including franchising, outsourced business and IT services, marketing and media services, travel and hospitality, consumer retail, real estate services, and specialty finance.

"We are grateful for the tremendous level of support we received from our TZP II investors," said Sam Katz, Managing Partner and Co-Founder, adding that "the investor base recognized the quality and success of our team" and emphasizing the firm's commitment to refining its investment methodology.

The firm operates from offices in New York, San Francisco, and Seattle, led by Katz alongside Partners Vlad Gutin, Dan Galpern, and Harris Newman, plus 19 additional investment professionals. Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided legal counsel; no placement agent was retained.

Founded in 2007, TZP Group has raised $1.3 billion across its family of funds. The firm targets closely-held private companies where owners wish to retain meaningful equity while partnering with an investor offering complementary expertise to drive growth and profitability.
