Private Equity Extends the Data Science Value Prop to the Portfolio
Middle Market Growth, a publication of the Association for Corporate Growth, reported in an April 2022 article by Carolyn Vallejo that private equity firms are extending data-analytics capabilities from their own operations into their portfolio companies. The piece cites TZP Group's creation of a dedicated Partner of Data & Analytics role, filled by Tamar Shapiro (formerly of Instagram, Foursquare, and American Express), to help portfolio companies improve pricing, marketing, and product decisions.
